“We see optimal health as a state of deep nourishment where the body, mind and soul are all receiving the care and attention they need. In this state a sense of wellbeing and vitality is present along with the resilience to face any challenges that arise”.
The naturopathic nutritionists meet with clients and assess their overall feeling of health and any wellness goals they may have. Applying the six principles of naturopathy, our role is to guide you in your decisions on diet and other aspects of health. Creating a system of eating that will rid the body of any nutritional imbalances, allow the body to heal itself without any foreign substances and encourage a deeper relationship with your body, mind and soul. We do work together with allopathic doctors, depending on the disease and situation of the client. Because naturopathy is holistic, in that it deals with the mind, body and spirit, nutrition therapy might be only one component of naturopathic treatment.
A naturopathic nutritionist will work with other naturopathic practitioners, such as acupuncturists, herbalists to treat an individual.
Every person will receive an individualised treatment plan catered specifically to their needs. No two people are exactly alike, and so no two treatments are exactly the same. Your treatments will depend on your specific current health concerns, your general health history, your tolerances and intolerances, and what you have the ability to do at home as well as in the office.
Sometimes people with longstanding chronic conditions require more time in order to see improvements in their conditions. Because naturopathic medicine aims to address the source of a condition, rather than simply applying a band-aid fix, you may need to be patient to see results.
